This conveyor project comprised a 5km overland conveyor to tie mobile crushing facilities into FMG’s existing ore processing facilities at the Cloudbreak Mine. This $33m project was used to trial an innovative modular design enabling the conveyor and crushing facilities to be repositioned to exploit new ore bodies once existing deposits were depleted, reducing operating costs while extending the life of existing infrastructure. BIM Drafting worked collaboratively with RCR Tomlinson’s EPC Projects team to assist with the completion of design and drive schedule and costs savings with early lead-in steel detailing.
