In 2013, BIM Drafting Services was awarded the Shop Detailing package for Rio Tinto’s West Angelas Deposit B Expansion project. The broad scope entailed 700t structural, mechanical, platework steelwork & piping.

Through early engagement, BIM was able to assist in developing parallel workflows with design teams, reducing man-hours on site by controlling the release of delivered steel. This resulted in optimized delivery efficiency, preventing excessive storage of non-priority material.
